Description

MAPPEC has developed a Low Voltage Line Arrester (LVLA), for the protection of equipment and transformers (Secondary coil). In the latter case, it is connected directly to the secondary nozzle, through the fixing hardware and its connection to ground is by means of stainless steel screws. The LVLA is made up of 10 kA non-linear resistive elements (zinc oxide varistors) encapsulated in polymer concrete (PC). With the LVLA, the protection of the transformer against overvoltages induced by the low voltage side has been completed, thus avoiding its failure due to armatures also existing in the low voltage line. LVLAs are a highly versatile and easy-to-install product, which offers an excellent technical and economical 100% Mexican option.
